This stretch of Teanaway River is 7 miles long and has been rated as a class II+ section by American Whitewater. The nature scenery of Kittitas County and the water flowing gracefully down Teanaway River beats anything. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill     up quick. There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the North Fork Teanaway to East Masterson Road section is one of them. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Summer at Teanaway River comes with high temperatures in the 60's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in   the 20's while the cold winter nights at Teanaway River are in the 10's. Teanaway River gets a great deal of water; most of the snow falls all through January, and July is when it's the driest.
