If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camp stove. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing     to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The river winds through the Northern Cascade Range and you get great scenery. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Tieton River dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. The high level of precipitation makes Tieton River a relatively wet spot; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain while July is regularly the driest month.
