The Rimrock Reservoir to Windy Point Campground section of Tieton River is 11.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III+ section of whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before     you come because it is a very popular destination. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. If you hurry you can run this stretch in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. There are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures   at Tieton River dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. The high level of rain makes Tieton River a reasonably wet place; during January this area sees the most rain while July is typically the driest month.
