If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many runs in this state are not easy. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is one of a small number of     paddling stretches in this river system, there are a few others too. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. The Windy Point Campground to Naches section of Tieton River is 8.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way there are lots of good rivers for that around here. There's camping available near Tieton River. The scenic beauty of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Briefly about the general area: Not much rain falls here at Tieton River; during the month   of December you get the most snow around here, and the driest month of the year is July. Summertime highs at Tieton River typically tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Tieton River tend to be in the 20's. A spree to Clint Canyon is always fun.
