This section of Tieton River - South Fork in Washington is 5.7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class IV(V+) section of whitewater. The nature scenery of Washington and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river
for a while have people coming from far and near. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Grey Creek Campground to Rimrock Lake section is one of them. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful.
Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.

High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Tieton River - South Fork.
