This stretch of Tilton River in Washington is 11 miles long and is a class III-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. If you're coming from Centralia it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Whitewater rafting and kayaking     spots in Washington are harder than the national norm, so better not forget that a large number of rivers in this state are not easy. The Bremer to Ike Kinswa State Park stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Briefly about the general area: Bear Canyon is close to Tilton River and is undeniably   a fine place to go to. Tilton River gets a large amount of water; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is July. For the period of the months of summer at Tilton River temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Tilton River temperatures descend to the 30's.
