For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This stretch of Tolt River in King County is 5.7 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II section. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but you'd better reserve in     advance because these hotels fill up quick. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Tolt River Road close to Carnation to Snoqualmie River section is one of them. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington tend to be more challenging than the national average, so don't forget that rivers here are less forgiving. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip.
