This stretch of Tolt River in Washington is 5.7 miles long and it is classified as a class II section by American Whitewater. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for
this river. The nature scenery of King County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting
your paddling muscles activated and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The campgrounds here at Tolt River are pretty good. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Tolt River Road close to Carnation to Snoqualmie River section is one of them. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's good length for a morning trip.

The yearly rain here at Tolt River is about average; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that rains the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. During the summer months here at Tolt River, high temperatures typically get into the 70's.
