Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. The scenic beauty of King County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There     are a few other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places.
