CLASS II-IV 2.8 miles
The nature scenery of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. This stretch of Trout Lake Creek is 2.8 miles long and is a class II-IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The Trout Lake to White Salmon River section is the only paddling section along Trout Lake Creek. This stretch is short so better bring some good walking shoes. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're
all set. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The campgrounds here at Trout Lake Creek
are pretty good. Great exercise and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. If you're coming from Hood River it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river.
