The beautiful scenery of Snohomish County and the water flowing gracefully down Trout Creek beats anything. This stretch of Trout Creek is 2 miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so better not forget that many runs in this state are not easy. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car.
Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. There's camping available near Trout Creek. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will have you coming back for more. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range
is great. This is a short paddling stretch so it's not like you're gonna spend hours on the river in one stretch. There are no other stretches to paddle along Trout Creek than the to National Forest Sky stretch.
Briefly about the general area: Summertime highs at Trout Creek frequently tend to be in the 70's, and the night is fairly colder of course, mostly in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Trout Creek. Trout Creek gets much water; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest of the months is July. Snowslide Gulch is next to Trout Creek and is a great place.
