CLASS III 10 miles
This stretch of Twisp River in Washington is 10 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that. If you hurry you can run this section in a day but why not make it an overnighter, so pack your camping stuff. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in this state tend to be more challenging than the national average, so better not forget that rivers here are not as easy as elsewhere. The wonderful Washington scenery and the beautiful
way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There are no other sections to paddle along Twisp River than the Buttermilk Creek to town of Twisp section. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Great exercise
and just being out on the river for a while are great reasons to come. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. If you'll be staying in a hotel you're in luck, lodging is available very near the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination.
