The beautiful scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water make the trip here worthwhile. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. Getting your paddling muscles activated and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. This is one of a small number of paddling sections in this river system, there are a few others too. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop
paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. The campgrounds here at Tye River are pretty good. The Alpine Falls to Beckler River section of Tye River in Washington is 7.2 miles long and it is classified as a class IV+ section by American Whitewater. The beauty of the Northern
Cascade Range is a great plus for this river. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
Briefly about the general area: Very lovely scenery and pleasant skiing is what you get at Stevens Pass. Tye River sees pretty high levels of rainfall; most of the rain falls through December,
and July on the other hand is the driest. All through the summertime months highs here at Tye River get into the 70's, and the nighttime is slightly colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Tye River dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
