This section of Waptus River in Washington is 4 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class II-III+(IV) section. A bit of exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. The Waptus Lake trail to Salmon La Sac stretch is the
only paddling stretch along Waptus River. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of rivers for that. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing
to drive a short distance then no problem and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. The beauty of the Northern Cascade Range is a great plus for this river.

River, you can go for a hike along the Davis Peak Lookout Trail, and you ought to unquestionably check out China Point while you're here.
