Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington are harder than the national norm, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the Prospector's Creek to Doc's Drop section is just one of them. The beautiful scenery of Skamania County     and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream attract people from near and far. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Washougal River with night lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows in the 30's for Washougal River. A great deal of rainfall falls at Washougal River; the month with most of   the rain is December; the driest of the months is July. So many enjoyable things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too splendid to be true. Going for a hike on the Washougal Trail is always a brilliant adventure; you can go for a hike on the Green Leaf Trail.
