The scenic beauty of Clark/ Skamania County and the water flowing gracefully down Washougal River will make you feel great. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. Great exercise and just being out on the river for a while are great attractions for lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is a pretty decent length section, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Some
people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range river like this one you always get great scenery along
