The Lake Wenatchee State Park to Tumwater Campground stretch of Wenatchee River in Chelan County is 16.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II section. If you're a camper you can camp at one of the great campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. This section is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your sleeping bag.

highs in the 70's to Wenatchee River. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Wenatchee River temperatures plunge to the 10's. Wenatchee River is a good
spot of normal precipitation; most of the snow falls during January, and the driest month is July. Near Wenatchee River you find magnificent sites like Deadhorse Canyon, and the trees of Leavenworth Ranger District are a magnificent source of shade on hot summer days.
