The scenic beauty of Chelan County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. If you're coming from Wenatchee it's not a long drive at all to the put-in location, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. There are some good stretches to paddle in this river system, the Leavenworth to Monitor stretch is one of them. The campgrounds here at Wenatchee River are pretty good. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so why not pack your sleeping bag too. Getting a good workout and
just being out on the river for a while have a lot of people coming here. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so better not forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. Some people
