The Leavenworth to Monitor section of Wenatchee River in Washington is 18.6 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. A good workout and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The put-in location is a short drive from Wenatchee, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to     stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. The Leavenworth to Monitor stretch is one of a few paddling stretches in this river system. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside Washington you might find the rivers here a bit more challenging, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy.
