Silver Springs Campground to West Fork White section whitewater kayaking, rafting, and paddling information.
CLASS III 10 miles
The Silver Springs Campground to West Fork White section of White River is 10 miles long and has been rated as a class III section by American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often tougher than in other states, so don't forget that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick.
The beautiful scenery of Pierce County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will make you glad
you came. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus.
