  The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often tougher than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The scenic beauty of Washington and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water attract people from near and far.     scenery is wonderful. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The Cascade Creek to Trout Lake stretch of White Salmon River in Washington is 8.4 miles long and it is classified
as a class III-IV(V) section by American Whitewater. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors are sure to keep you coming back for more. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here.

White Salmon River gets much water; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month
 
of the year is July. A tremendous location in the neighborhood of White Salmon River is Green Canyon.
The warmest time of the year at White Salmon River arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at White Salmon River.
