  Whitewater rafting and kayaking in Washington is often more difficult than elsewhere, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are not suitable for beginners. If you're coming from Hood River it's not a long drive at all to the starting location, as you can see on the road map further down. The Warner Road Bridge to Green Truss Bridge stretch of White Salmon River in Klickitat County is 5.1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class IV-V section. There are plenty of other stretches in this river system that can be
    paddled as well. The campgrounds here at White Salmon River are pretty good. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people coming here. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of rivers for
that. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Whitewater paddling here in the Northern Cascade Range is a great experience. The nature scenery of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. On this section you do get some distance, good for a one day paddling trip.

Trout Lake Valley is next to White Salmon River and is beyond doubt a delightful location to visit. White Salmon River is a quite wet
 
place typically with a great deal of rainfall; the month with most of the snow is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
For the duration of the summertime at White Salmon River highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at White Salmon River dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
