The Green Truss Bridge to BZ Corners stretch of White Salmon River is 4.9 miles long and has been rated as a class V section by American Whitewater. The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in Washington are often more challenging than in other states, so keep in mind that the rivers in this state are less manageable. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Hood River, as you can see on the road map further down. The beautiful scenery of Washington and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Not too many
hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good spots for that around here. When you're paddling down a Northern Cascade Range
river like this one you always get great scenery along the way too. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. The campgrounds here at White Salmon River are pretty good. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip.

the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at White Salmon River. All the water falling down from the sky makes White Salmon River a wet spot; most of the snow falls through December; July meanwhile is the driest
month. Bear Valley is in close proximity to White Salmon River and is positively a splendid place to have a look at, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Little White Salmon Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a good time.
