Briefly about the general area: White Salmon River is a wet place that gets a large amount of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade   Range, you might not ever want to go home again. High temperatures at White Salmon River during the summertime months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at White Salmon River temperatures fall to the 20's. Hood River Valley is a great site to visit nearby; Koberg Beach is pretty nearby if you're in a beach type of mood.
