The natural beauty of Snohomish County and the playfulness of the water beats anything. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more demanding, so better not forget that quite a few of the sections here are not easy. The Bridge above Crystal Creek to Sauk River confluence section is the only paddling section along Whitechuck River. This stretch of Whitechuck River is 6 miles long and it is classified as a class IV section by American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby.
This is a pretty decent length section, it's good length for a morning trip. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. You might be into whitewater rafting
or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. The wild scenery of the Northern Cascade Range is great. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river for a while will have you coming back for more.
