This stretch of Whitechuck River is 6 miles long and is a class IV section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state is often more difficult than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the sections here are not safe for beginners. The scenic beauty of Snohomish County and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is wonderful. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations
in advance you're all set. There are no other stretches to paddle along Whitechuck River than the Bridge above Crystal Creek to Sauk River confluence stretch. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling places. Getting a good workout and
spending some quality time in nature will make you glad you came. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, it's perfect for a one day trip.
Briefly about the general area: Whitechuck River ordinarily gets much precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is July. High temperatures at Whitechuck River through the long summer days are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Whitechuck River sink into the 20's.
