No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good places. There are some good hotels near the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting a good workout and just being out on the river for a while     are great attractions for lots of people. The wonderful Washington scenery and the water flowing gracefully down Wind River are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There's camping available near Wind River. This river system is full of great paddling sections, the High Bridge to Columbia River section is just one of them. The beautiful Northern Cascade Range scenery is an added bonus. The average Washington whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit harder to master than those in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are not for beginners. This stretch has has enough mileage, it's perfect for a one day trip. Briefly about the general area: All the water falling down from the sky makes Wind River a wet place; December is the month that gets the most rain; July is when it's the driest.   For the period of the months of summer at Wind River temperatures are mostly in the 70's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Wind River are in the 30's. This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Wind River is right by the Huckleberry Trail; do take a hike on the Cedar Creek Trail.
