The scenic beauty of Washington and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream will make you feel great. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling rivers. You might have to settle for
a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The starting location is a reasonable drive from Aberdeen, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page.
If you have the time you can make this a two day trip, so pack your camp stove. The campgrounds here at Wynoochee River are pretty good. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in Washington are harder than the national norm, so don't forget that many of the rivers here are not very forgiving. Getting some good exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors will have you coming back for more. The river winds through the Olympic Mountains and you get great scenery. There are no other sections to paddle along Wynoochee River than the Wynoochee Reservoir to
Save Creek section.
