This section of Anthony Creek in West Virginia is 10 miles long and is a class I-II section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. The wonderful Greenbrier County scenery and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. There's camping available near Anthony Creek. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while     have people coming from far and near. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. You can enjoy this section more if you take your time, so pack your sleeping bag. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. The Neola to Blue Bend Recreation Area section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. Briefly about the general area: Why not take a refreshing hike along the Beaver Lick Mountain Trail. At Anthony Creek during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter   at Anthony Creek temperatures drop to the 10's. Anthony Creek sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. The Slabcamp Trail offers hiking at its best, and Waids Draft is nearby, and is a brilliant place.
