The beautiful scenery of West Virginia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. Whitewater rafting and kayaking in West Virginia is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The starting location is a short drive from Morgantown, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. This stretch of Beaver Creek in Preston County is 1.1 miles long and it is classified as a class III-IV section by American Whitewater. |

Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river,
| and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way this is an area with plenty of places for that. This stretch is very short so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over.
