The CR 1 bridge to Anjean stretch of Big Clear Creek is 4.5 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III-V section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. A bit of exercise and just being out on the river     for a while are sure to keep you coming back for more. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. This stretch has has enough mileage, suitable for an afternoon trip. Briefly about the general area: Big Clear Creek is a reasonably wet place frequently with a large amount of rain; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Big Clear Creek throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and the night is rather chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's.
