This section of Blackwater River in Tucker County is 7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class III-V section of whitewater. A bit of exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that many runs in this state are very easy. Some people prefer
whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way around here you'll find a large number of good places. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, suitable for an afternoon trip. There's camping available near Blackwater River. This is not the only paddling stretch

Briefly about the general area: The high level of precipitation makes Blackwater River a pretty wet place; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Good hiking is available along the Canyon Rim Trail. Go for a hike on the Limerock Trail, and the landscape is dominated by the Backbone Mountain. High temperatures at Blackwater River during the summertime months are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Blackwater River dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
