CLASS II-III 21.3 miles

The starting point is not too far from Beckley, as you can see on the road map further down. The natural beauty of West Virginia and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream beats anything. The average West Virginia whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. A good workout
and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come. This river system has a few good paddling sections and the Eads Mill to Bluestone State Park section is one of them. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There aren’t any hotels right nearby
but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling spots. This stretch is long enough for an overnight trip if you take your time, so why not pack your camping stuff too.
