The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Clarksburg, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. On this section you do get some distance, suitable for an afternoon trip. The nearby hotels     are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature have people coming from far and near. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of rivers for that.
