The put-in location is a short drive from Clarksburg, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it     is a very popular destination. This is a pretty short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
