The West Virginia 72 to Macomber stretch of Buffalo Creek is 4.9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class III section. The average West Virginia whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that the rivers in this state
are less demanding. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way there are lots of good places for that around here. There are no other stretches to paddle along Buffalo Creek than the West Virginia
72 to Macomber stretch. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. This stretch is mid length, it's perfect for a one day trip.
