This section of Buffalo Creek - Elk Tributary in Clay County is 4.7 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II section by American Whitewater. This is the only paddling stretch along Buffalo Creek - Elk Tributary. The average whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be a bit easier to master in this state than those in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere.
