This stretch of Buffalo Creek - Elk Tributary in West Virginia is 4.7 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II section of whitewater. If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so better not forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of
spots for that. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Getting your paddling muscles activated and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. This is a pretty
decent length section, good for a one day paddling trip. The Confluence with Taylor Creek to Swandale section is the only paddling section along Buffalo Creek - Elk Tributary. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby.
