The scenic beauty of Preston County and the cool fresh water will make you feel great. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in West Virginia are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. You     might have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times. This stretch of Bull Run is 2.8 miles long and has been rated as a class V+ section by American Whitewater. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature will make you glad you came. Bull Run doesn't have a lot of paddling sections, the Bull Run to Cheat River section is the only one. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this area has a large number of paddling spots. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Briefly about the general area: Through the warm months at Bull Run temperatures are regularly   in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Bull Run. The yearly precipitation here at Bull Run is about average; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest.
