The sections for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in West Virginia are often more forgiving than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. This stretch of     Cheat River - Shavers Fork in West Virginia is 14 miles long and is a class II-III section of whitewater according to American Whitewater. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers.
