CLASS II-III 17.3 miles
The natural beauty of West Virginia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water will make you feel great. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in West Virginia are often easier than in other states, so if you're not from around here don't forget that the rivers in this state are less demanding. The Webster Springs to CR7 stretch of Elk River is 17.3 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. This is not the only paddling stretch in this river system, there are others too. You might have to
settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. This stretch has enough mileage for an overnight trip, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff. For all you camping people there are
campgrounds nearby. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this is an area with plenty of places for that.
