The beautiful scenery of West Virginia and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here a bit more forgiving, so keep in mind that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. There's camping available near Glade Creek - Meadow River Tributary. Getting a good workout and a chance to spend some time     outdoors are great attractions for lots of people. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. This stretch is short so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
