This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon     trip. This is the only paddling stretch along Grassy Creek. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have a lot of people coming here. There are campgrounds quite near the river where you can camp. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both, doesn't matter, this is an area with plenty of places for that. Briefly about the general area: Grassy Creek is a rather wet place ordinarily with lots of rain; through July this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Barrenshe Hollow is in the neighborhood of Grassy Creek and is unquestionably a fine location to stop by. Summer at Grassy Creek comes with high temperatures in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's.
