The natural beauty of Preston County and the cool fresh water have people coming here. The average West Virginia whitewater rafting or kayaking river tends to be easier to run than those in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that many of the rivers here are not very demanding. This is the only paddling section along Green's Run. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do     book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This stretch of Green's Run in Preston County is 2.2 miles long and it is classified as a class III section by American Whitewater. The campgrounds here at Green's Run are pretty good. This is a short paddling stretch so no need to bring snacks.
