The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so don't forget that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. This section of Greenbrier River in Greenbrier County is 7.2 miles long and it is classified as a class I(III) section by American Whitewater. Getting some good exercise and just being out on the river for a while will make you glad you came. This is a pretty decent length section, good for a one day paddling     trip. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is the only paddling section along Greenbrier River. Briefly about the general area: There's good hiking along the Big Run Trail.
