The beautiful scenery of West Virginia and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside West Virginia you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're not from around here don't forget that a lot of the rivers here are suitable for beginners. Getting a good workout and spending some quality time in nature have a lot of people     coming here. The campgrounds here at Greenbrier River are pretty good. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. There are no other sections to paddle along Greenbrier River than the Spring Creek to Anthony section. Briefly about the general area: Throughout the months of summer here at Greenbrier River, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Greenbrier River dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. There is a good hiking trail near Greenbrier River called the Big Run Trail.
