The Willowood bridge to Bellepoint section of Greenbrier River in West Virginia is 5.5 miles long and it is classified as a class I-II(III) section by American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling places. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside this state you might find the rivers here
a bit more forgiving, so if you're not from around here don't forget that rivers here are not as hard as elsewhere. Great exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are great attractions for lots of people. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive
a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Willowood bridge to Bellepoint section is the only paddling section along Greenbrier River.
Briefly about the general area: At Greenbrier River during the summertime highs are in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Greenbrier River. You might want to pay a visit to
Sawyer Hollow since you're here at Greenbrier River. Greenbrier River sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest of the months is February.
