  Whitewater rafting and kayaking in West Virginia is often easier than elsewhere, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. On this section you do get some distance, it's good length for a morning trip. No need to look hard for hotels, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. The nature scenery of West Virginia and the sparkling of the sunlight on the water beats anything. This section of Greenbrier River in Summers County is 5.5 miles long and is according to American Whitewater a class I-II(III)
    section of whitewater. And of course, there are campgrounds nearby. There are no other sections to paddle along Greenbrier River than the Willowood bridge to Bellepoint section. Whether you're whitewater rafting or kayaking around here you'll find a large number of good spots.
Getting some good exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great reasons to come.

Briefly about the general area:
For the period of the warm days of summer here at Greenbrier River, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Greenbrier River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Greenbrier River a wet site; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most, and February is the month with the least moisture.
A splendid location next to Greenbrier River is Sawyer Hollow.
