The scenic beauty of Pocahontas County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. This stretch of Greenbrier River - East Fork is 5.1 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III section. This is not the only paddling section in this river system, there are others too. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. Getting a good     workout and just hanging out with mother nature have a lot of people coming here. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking there are lots of good spots for that around here. This is a pretty decent length section, suitable for an afternoon trip. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Briefly about the general area: There are great sites to discover along the East Fork Trail; you can go for a hike on the Hinkle Run Trail. Greenbrier River - East Fork gets a great deal of water; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February.
