This section of Greenbrier River - East Fork is 8.9 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class I-II section. If you've been whitewater rafting and kayaking outside West Virginia you might find the rivers here a bit more manageable, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. There are many good hotels to choose from, and if you make reservations in advance you're all set. Some people prefer whitewater rafting and some
kayaking, either way in this general area you'll find lots of paddling rivers. The scenic beauty of Pocahontas County and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This is not the only paddling section in this river system,
there are others too. This section is long enough to enjoy a good non stop paddle, you can easily run it on an afternoon. Getting your paddling muscles activated and just being out on the river for a while have people coming from far and near.
Briefly about the general area: While you're here at Greenbrier River - East Fork you can take a hike along the Span Oak Trail. Have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Burner Mountain Trail, and obviously, A spree to Hawchen Hollow is always fun. Summertime highs at Greenbrier River - East Fork mostly

The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Greenbrier River - East Fork temperatures drop to the 10's.
