The beautiful scenery of Nicholas County and the cool fresh water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This section of Hominy Creek in West Virginia is 12 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-IV section. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in West Virginia tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. You can enjoy this stretch more if you take your time, so go ahead and pack your camping stuff.
