The beautiful scenery of West Virginia and the playfulness of the water have people coming here. The put-in location is a short drive from Oak Hill, as you can see on the road map further down. This stretch of Laurel Creek - New River Tributary is 1.5 miles long and is rated by American Whitewater as a class IV-V(V+) section. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This river system has a few good paddling stretches and the Beckwith to Cotton Hill section is one of them. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in West Virginia tend
