If you've been out of state whitewater rafting and kayaking you might find the rivers here more forgiving, so keep in mind that lots of rivers here are good for beginners. The campgrounds here at Leatherwood Creek are pretty good. Getting a good workout and just hanging out with mother nature are great reasons to come. Since you're on this site you are probably into whitewater rafting or kayaking,     either way around here you'll find a large number of good rivers. There aren’t any hotels right nearby but if you're willing to drive a short distance then no problem but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. The scenic beauty of West Virginia and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. This is a somewhat short section so you'd better be prepared to walk your kayak back to put-in a few times.
