The nature scenery of Summers County and the cool fresh water are reasons enough to come here and paddle. This section of Little Bluestone River & Tributaries is 2.2 miles long and has been determined by American Whitewater to be a class II-III+ section. The nearby hotels are a bit away from the river, but you'd better reserve in advance
because these hotels fill up quick. The put-in location is a short drive from Beckley, if you're not familiar with the area there's a road map further down the page. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. This river system is full of great paddling stretches,
