The Arlington to Ingo section of Little Kanawha River is 5.4 miles long and has been rated as a class III-V section by American Whitewater. The natural beauty of Upshur County and the playfulness of the water are in themselves reasons enough to come here to paddle. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. Whitewater rafting and kayaking spots in West Virginia tend to be more forgiving than the national average, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that quite a few of the sections here are pretty easy. You might have to settle
for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but do book a room before you come because it is a very popular destination. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time outdoors have people coming from far and near. This is a pretty decent length section,
it's good length for a morning trip. There are plenty of other sections in this river system that can be paddled as well. The put-in location is a short drive from Clarksburg, as you can see on the road map further down. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has a large number of paddling rivers.

February is commonly the driest month. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Little Kanawha River, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Little Kanawha River are in the 10's.
