The wonderful Braxton County scenery and the beautiful way the water current moves down the stream have people coming here. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking here in West Virginia are often easier than in other states, so you'd better keep in mind that many runs in this state are very easy. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in nature are great attractions for lots of people. The at Falls Mill section is one of a few paddling sections in this river system. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. You might
have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the river if you want to stay the night, but if you don’t have reservations you might end up sleeping in your car. This is an extremely short stretch so you'll have to walk back to the start over and over. Some people prefer whitewater
rafting and some kayaking, either way this area has a large number of paddling spots.

Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Little Kanawha River plunge into the 10's. Little Kanawha River sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
