This stretch of Little Sandy Creek in West Virginia is 9.3 miles long and has been rated as a class II section by American Whitewater. The rivers for whitewater rafting and kayaking in this state are often easier than in other states, so if you're visiting here do keep in mind that rivers here are less demanding. This stretch is mid length, good for a one day paddling trip. No matter if you're whitewater rafting or kayaking this area has     a large number of paddling places. Getting some good exercise and just hanging out with mother nature are sure to keep you coming back for more. The put-in location is a reasonable drive from Morgantown, please print out a copy of the road map further down the page so you won’t get lost. You can pitch a tent or park your RV at a nearby campground. There are a few other stretches in this river system that can be paddled as well. Not too many hotels nearby, you'll have to drive a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve in advance because these hotels fill up quick. Throughout the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 80's at Little   Sandy Creek while nighttime lows are regularly in the 60's.
